People crammed the area around the pool, on the deck behind it, and even in the pool (up to where the depth was too great to stand) at the HotLanta private pool party we attended in August 1991. The irony is that our host in Atlanta that weekend was a black NYC med student in Atlanta for a year to complete his residency requirement. We had invited him to join us at the pool party, but his work wouldn’t give him time off for that.
