A group of six fit, shirtless young men and one woman pose casually on the porch of a brick house. The men wear a variety of colorful patterned and solid-colored swim briefs and speedos, some with sunglasses, and are lined up behind a white railing. One man holds a beverage can. A woman in a red and white striped tank top and denim shorts stands on the left, interacting with the group. The porch is under a green awning, and green ferns are visible in the foreground.

I didn’t know these guys and wouldn’t have considered this shot worth highlighting, but a number of gay men who saw it reacted enthusiastically to it. It looks just like a half dozen guys and one woman on a deck, but they are overlooking 200-300 others immediately below them at this Hotlanta pool party in August 1991.
