On my first visit to Ibiza and its Es Cavalet gay beach in 1985, I spent a lot of time in the crystal-clear Mediterranean. I met a Belgian dentist, Michel D.. who joined me for this amusing shot. In it, while he looks blankly at the photographer, I lay face down on a raft with my bathing suit pulled low, airing my tanned buttcheeks. Unbeknownst to me, the photographer was waiting for the right moment, capturing Michel, me, and an unknown couple kissing unself-consciously behind us.
