Frank V. was only 19 and from an Italian-American family in Providence, Rhode Island. He hung out with me and another friend in Provincetown for the day, which included time at the beach. We dropped off our other friend at the airport, leaving me with Frank. I saw this opportune shot that featured one of Provincetown Boston Airways’ planes. I asked Frank to stand in front of the plane in a position where I could include the “baggage claim” sign in the frame, jokingly alluding to Frank being the baggage being picked up.
