This photo appeared in a story on the Guardian newspaper in the UK maybe 7 years ago, as part of a feature they ran on @theAIDSMemorial page on Instagram. They featured this pic and this story: These innocent looking very blond (one being artificial) guys were housemates in my rental house or a neighbor in Southampton, New York in 1986, my first of 12 consecutive summers there. Tom T. (left) moved from NYC to LA in the early 1900s and we remained in regular contact for a decade. Around 2010, he and his boyfriend died in an auto accident while returning from Las Vega. Alan M. (center) was our neighbor in the Hamptons who came down with AIDS and died in 1991. Todd S. (right, bleached hair) and Tom were very close. Todd is still alive and seemingly well.
