A nude, tanned man floating on his stomach on a white rectangular mat in a deep blue swimming pool. His hands are clasped behind his head, and his muscular back, glutes, and legs are exposed to the daylight. The water shows subtle ripples, viewed from a high-angle perspective.

After we returned from the beach in September 1993 and after I photographed Gustavo naked in the lush garden of our Southampton, New York, rental home, I took several shots of Gustavo languidly lying on a raft in the water.
