In June 1994, the 25th anniversary of NYC’s Pride Parade, known familiarly as Stonewall 25, was celebrated across the city with parades, marches, fireworks, and simultaneously NYC hosted Gay Games IV. The city was overrun with joyous queers. After the Pride march concluded on Sunday, many of us headed over to Central Park feeling festive. As I walked on the lower loop next to the Sheep Meadow, I came across this group of handsome, shirtless gay men and took a photo of them. Twenty-five years later, the one in the red cap came across this image which includes him and reached out to thank me for having captured the moment.
